Barry Brumpton purchased a run of vending machines in September 1989. Almost immediately he realised the equipment that he had bought, and could buy to expand, was not of a standard that would meet the requirements of today's society. Within six months of purchasing Kelly Co., Barry commenced designing and manufacturing his own vending machines. The criteria under which he designed his equipment was that they needed to be strong, simple, mechanically operated, and above all RELIABLE for the Customer and the Operator.
